Missed opportunity for TT Explorer 1

I passed by an AD yesterday, as I now often do when I’m in the mall. Lo and behold they had an Explorer 1 124273 in display, and it was unreserved. It was the first time I saw a sports model available. I have been waiting for a stainless steel Explorer 1, so I left the AD without the watch, and thought it over a couple of hours - 3 to be exact - granted it was significantly more expensive than the stainless steel model. Finally made the decision to purchase it, and rushed back in the afternoon only to find out that it’s been reserved.. I felt so naive that I didn’t reserve it before I left while I was still undecided. Would have been a great experience to have found a sports model at retail and pick one up. Anyway, on to the next..

I don’t think that’s a missed opportunity, it wasn’t the watch you wanted.

Missed opportunity for TT Explorer 1

And you’d have been taken off the list for the steel only version. I don’t think they would have let you think on it. Reserve on a display professional model usually means “commit to buy”

Ditto.

I don’t think the tt exp1 is that hot right now.

If it made its way to the display case, I’m sure you can put your name down for one at that store and they’d be able to get one for you in a reasonable timeframe?

Don’t let FOMO get the best of you. If you want the SS one, then just be patient or pay a little more for one on the grey market. You made the right decision and karma confirmed it. I hope you get your Explorer soon.

Thanks guys you are all correct. I was played by the scarcity game into thinking it was a missed opportunity. Learning something from experience and the forums everyday. And now back to waiting for the call

If you really want it, I suspect you’ll have another opportunity soon enough.
