That dial is magnificent.

Service Luminova dials marked Tritium are the best on a daily beater.

Kudos, you have no worries, wear it, enjoy it, it's a Rolex!

I was not aware these were done. My mother's 1601 was sent to RSC with tritium dial, and they replaced it with a service luminova but it said SWISS MADE only.

Why is it the best of both worlds? Surely the attraction and beauty of tritium is the way it looks.

Love the 1680! I just hate setting the date! I wore mine on rotation so never bothered setting the date unless it was within 4 days.

Just curious why this is more appealing vs a new watch?
I guess im in the minority here, but for me the appeal of the 1680 is the look of the original dial and bezel. The aging lume and the fat font bezel add to it, not detract. Personally Id rather a new watch over a clean newly updated old watch...what am I missing?
