I've had a 15400 for two years with no issues. It's not a daily wearer, though.

Main issue I have had was the 3120 running fast. AP tolerances are wider so +10 or so is within spec for AP whereas it would not be for Rolex. I have long since stopped caring about small deviations though. Other than that, no significant issues with mine.

I have a 2016 15400st (not from new though) and have not experienced any issues with it and timekeeping is on par with the Rolex watches I had.

Got it today - absolutely blown away by the look, feel on wrist and overall how the watch feels like a a single piece of jewellery instead of a timepiece. :)

Congrats. Looking forward to some photos! You'll love AP.

I guess it's just me but "hand fitting play" in a high end watch is ridiculous. I've owned Rolex, VC, IWC, Omega, and countless ETA movement watches and have never experienced this.

This was the first thing I noticed when I just got my 15400. I was really worried cause it had play when I would move it back and forth. The minute hand wouldn't move instantly and I thought something was wrong until I asked my buddy who has a bunch of AP's and said that is normal.

Poor English translation.
The issue is well known in general engineering in relation to gears’ teeth — it’s called backlash or slop.
The way to set the time correctly is to move the minute hand past the intended position (5-10 mins) then back to the exact minute.
When you push the crown in, the minute hand shouldn’t move.
For movements without hacking seconds, you’ll need to wind back slightly anyway, to stall the seconds hand.

The only issue I have with the 15400 is the lack of wrist time. Entirely my fault
