I would 100% do that straight trade. I agonized over which to put my name down for at my AD - 5711 or 5712 - initially was down for 5711 and after 6 months changed to 5712 (my AD’s rule is you can only be on one nautilus waitlist at a time)... ~6 months later got the 5712 and oh boy am I glad I did. I’ve considered adding a 5711 white but for now, the 5712 is just that good.

Shame to let the white 5711 go if you can get the 5712 at retail, great watch. The white ones are also produced in less numbers I heard. I'd keep it and also go for the 5712 even if have to let another piece go.
