Legit Check

Hello everyone. Relatively new to rolex, only owned a hand me down vintage 1601. I am looking into a 16234 i have been in love with and wondering if you fantastic people could check out this movement. Is it looking ok? I know certain markers to look for but by no means an expert.

Spend the $100-150 and take it to someone to see in person.

I agree the Watch Out forum is the best place to get an opinion.

I would suggest that you take pictures of the watch case and dial and also make sure that the rotor isn't covering the the parts of the movement that are important for identification.

Take it to Cleves and Lonnemann in Belleview, Ky. They are experts.

While I am not an expert, the movement looks genuine to me. It clearly has a free-sprung balance, which has yet to be copied in the world of fakes. But as others have said, its best to get it checked out by an expert.
