TempoKing, Beware!

I just bought a 78360 from Anastasios. Fast shipping as described, but when I opened the fully sealed package and inspected the bracelet I was, and still am absolutely gutted.

I’ve been buying and selling watches for 12 years and I’ve never been taken like this.

The clasp code is the same, but clearly every link on either side of the perm link attached to the clasp has been changed. The screw on one side isn't even fully screwed back in from where it has been changed. :

I took pictures right after opening it and emailed them over to him to which his responses were,

"Hi
The first two pictures are of the bracelet
I have send you -
The picture you have send me looks like
A bulldozer drove over it - Please compare the usage of your links
And mine"

I responded with, "That is exactly why I am sending you this message. The bracelet I received clearly is not the same bracelet that was advertised.
I’d like my money back."

He then responds with, "The bracelet I have send you In truly
pristine condition is pictured below.
All else is without validation"

I responded with, "What does that even mean? I got home, opened the package and it was in the same condition as I am sending you in the photos. Clearly you don’t know who I am and the feedback and references I have. You think I’m trying to scam you by sending you pictures of some other bracelet? Good luck buddy. Paypal me a full refund or I’m outing you on the forums and messaging every moderator on there. This is clearly BS and I have zero time or patience for it. You have my PayPal, but one again - Jfullm42time@gmail.com"

Attached are the pictures from the listing and the bracelet that arrived to me.

https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=753009

DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU, MODS PLEASE SHUT HIS ACCOUNT DOWN

Perhaps he sent you the wrong bracelet? This happened to me and I rectified the situation immediately. Hopefully a mistake that he will make good.

Thank you and I gave him the benefit of the doubt and asked that too. The clasp code and clasp is the same in the pictures.

I asked him if anyone else touched it before it was shipped and he sidestepped it and didn’t even answer.

78360 T10 with 14 links and 458 B end links.

I am not in the business of short changing anyone

The bracelet in question is the one I have advertised in pristine condition
No mistake ...No other hands touched it !

Look for answers elsewhere

If you aren’t then why are you blaming me and not making it right by saying sure I’ll take it back? I gave you multiple opportunities. Why would I lie? You think I wanted a piece of crap bracelet and wanted the rest of my night to be ruined? I was expecting to see the bracelet I bought and instead I got this

The images are over exposed on the for sale thread, would have likely hidden any scratches. If you're not happy with the condition, why not just organise a return?

I wish he would have / would still just agree to that. And overexposed or not, the notching present isn’t anywhere in his original photos.

Wish that was the bracelet I received... none of those would have been happening. Sucks

I think it's a mix up from his end... but he's responding wrongly to the situation. I'm sorry about that and thanks for the information.

Hey TempoKing, if the seller wants to return the exact 78360 T10 bracelet why would you refuse?

Are you suggesting he has damaged this post delivery? That's pretty far fetched. I hope you make this right.

Why would you possibly 'close' the matter when there is such a glaring discrepancy in advertised (pristine) to goods received (nothing short of junk, it's unwearable).

Just advertise your products accurately and fair and people will still buy.

The longevity & success of a seller comes down to how they handle after sale queries not what they can sell.

I'll be watching the developments of this thread with interest.

A very judgemental post?

Do you have any facts to add?

I will also be watching the developments as I have had successful dealings with this seller.

This could be easily being fixed by proving the serial number of the bracelet if there are any pictures of it?

That band you have pictures, is indeed in pristine condition.

Both of you have pages and pages and pages of positive feedback - whatever has happened here must be some kind of mistake.

Bracelets do not have serial numbers.

According to the buyer, the clasp code and model number are the same as the seller’s advertised bracelet. He alleges that some of the links were replaced by the seller. Further, he states those replaced links are damaged and the “pristine” condition in the advert is not accurate.

The seller states that the bracelet is not the same one he shipped. He infers that the buyer has changed it.

Since PayPal is the payment method, I would guess this is heading to the dispute process.

The buyer is asking Mods to ban the seller’s account on TRF - that is not apropos. We are in “he said/he said” territory. He admits to using a bad review here to extract a refund.

The seller is emphatic that he considers this case is closed. The “court of TRF opinion” will vary methinks. He doesn’t state “no returns” in his listing.

The situation isn’t easily or equitably solved with such polarized positions.

Reading carefully, Tempoking is claiming the bracelet is not the one he sent. Indeed, the images in his post show a pristine and sharp bracelet, what was received looks different (each link looks softer and worn. This is indeed a mystery. Can the OP hold up the bracelet as in the sales post, to see if it has the same lack of stretch?

I think you can see from the first picture, OPs bracelet is very tired and stretched.

I have no dog in this fight, but have purchased many items from TempoKing (Anastasios). He has always been very communicative and items have been exactly as advertised.

Per sellers listing "Price $825 Bank cheque deposit/wire into my Chase account (No PayPal):"

Buyer is SOL and relying on sellers eagerness to maintain a solid reputation as a seller which he's clearly unwilling to defend. Unfortunately there is going to be no satisfactory resolution here.

Thanks.
I misunderstood the OP’s initial post when he said “you have my PayPal”. That made me think he had paid that way.

Yeah maybe (judgemental), just hate to see this sort of thing and I didn't like 'this matter is closed for me' comment. Seems inappropriate considered the seller is disputing the product. Wouldn't you agree?

No facts no, just saying it as I see it and giving my opinion. Like I've previously stated it seems far fetched for buyer to switch it out for a damaged bracelet but maybe I am just naive. I've had my fingers burned before from so called 'trusted sellers' & I'm of the view that after sales service speaks volumes about how 'trusted' a seller really is.

I have no axe to grind but, generally speaking, i do feel huge sympathize with buyers who get taken.

Either way the after sales response is enough to put me off making any purchases from the seller in question.

Just my 2c. Either way it's messed up.

Friends, does anyone know Anastasios phone number, or know how to get ahold of him. I’m wondering if a scammer has hacked into his email and accounts. That’s the only logical explanation I can come up with. Can anyone call him who knows him and ask what’s up? This isn’t like his character based on everyone I’ve talked with and everything I’ve read.

I’m at peace knowing I’ll probably never see a dime back, but I’m just so confused

Not sure a "scammer" would have sent you anything? Agreed it seems out of character for him...
