Deep Forest “MM300” SBDX021 / SLA019

Quite a good review here of the new green Deep Forest “MM300” SBDX021 / SLA019 diver: www.deployant.com/sbdx021-sla019/

It's a great looking watch, but a bit on the large size for me.

This new SRPC91K1 Turtle looks more promising, and much more affordable, of course...

Deep Forest MM300; I asked about this when I was in Japan, but was told they would only start arriving early May. From pictures, that shade of green looks phenomenal. Its priced out of my budget, but I did try to do some math and I will admit I considered trying to stretch for this.

It should be the same dimensions as the SBDX017 Adam. Fits my six and a half inch wrist just fine...you should be able to carry that green beauty easily:)

I love the dial the Turtle. Never wore one so I'm unsure about fit and comfort.

Also I've found that Seiko dive straps aren't the greatest. I know there's other options. I've yet to find a rubber strap that fits my wrist as comfortable as a bracelet or NATO.

The new Seiko silicone straps are quite good, much improved over the older Z22 especially in the comfort department. However, they are also very accomplished dirt/dust magnets!

I'll be in Japan again this weekend Patrick, maybe I'll be lucky enough to find one to try on

Thanks for sharing the articles!

I am excited for the SLA019. Put a deposit down already at a local AD to ensure I can pick one up when they start arriving in the summer.

When I was ordering my S23626 (reissued gold tuna 1000), another guy was ordering his green MM, I thought about the green MM but since I already have the green 50th anv Sub so I decided to skip. I think the AD already sold out their green MM allocation. Best of luck!

Deep Forest “MM300” SBDX021 / SLA019

Forgot to add a wrist shot of my SBDX017. I’m sure the green dial would be awesome. Just wanted to show how this watch sits on a six and a half inch wrist.

That time of the morning where the taxi drivers are having an early lunch before they do business during the lunch time rush...

Just walked by the Seiko boutique NYC. It’s on their window and says boutique only. It’s a nice but big watch.

Weird, I spoke with them today and they said that the watch wasn't coming out until June.

Either I’m a moron or they are.

Lol

It’s on the display to the left of the door on the outside.

How big would you say the watch is? Is it similar to a Rolex DSSD? I ask because I've never seen one of Seikos diver watches in person.

It’s much smaller than a DSSD. It says on paper that it’s a 44mm, but it wears much smaller due to its deep set dial and chunky case.

Here is a photo of my SBDX017, which shares the same dimensions, on a six and a half inch wrist for an idea of what it may look like.

Optically it looked bigger/chunkier. Since I was looking from the street. Patrick above has both. Looks like he answered it.

Any chance you have a pic of height? I wonder if the bezel and case made it looked thicker from where I was standing

This is a near perfect watch except for the size this should be much thinner and 40-42mm.
