Those are nice watches and I'm glad you're happy. Personally, I would never consider spending $14k on something I didn't want in order to spend $14k on something I did want unless I knew I could get out of the second piece whole.

By any chance, does this AD also sell used cars?

Wow that really is terrible practice by the AD. Shame on them. Glad you got the watch you wanted but as others have said I would flip that bluesy if you don't plan to wear it to recoup some of that money. The Sky D is absolutely stunning! Enjoy it!

Bad practice by the AD thats for sure. I wouldnt go back there shopping.

I would have just bought a PM piece if I was you. You will get a YG BNIB for around $32-33k USD and a RG piece for $34-35k.

And they made him come back the next day after agreeing to spend upwards of $30k. That's service!

My sales associate came in on her day off to make sure none of the other associates sold my watch out from under me.

Congrats on both. Both nice watches. Worst case scenario, flip one but both are nice

That's a hard to get piece so I understand the cave, but still a sordid practice by the AD... I would tell them to take the watch back as you on the forums and not happy as are most members and that you will name the AD and write to Rolex. Got to fight fire with fire.

IF you are happy then that's all that matters. But I'd have told that AD where he can store that watch - and it wouldn't be in the safe.

What happens if someone would report this to Rolex directly? To they sanction such activities by their ADs??

Congratulations on you new watches however and hope that you enjoy them fully. And that the experience doesn’t sour the fun of getting what you want.

If there ever was a definition of "blackmail", this is it. Total BS and should not be tolerated. Hell, for 29K he could have had a Day-Date or almost any other PM model.

Acquiescing to behavior as exhibited by the AD is embarrassing. I would never feel good about either watch knowing the circumstances under which they were bought. I know it's your money and you can do as you like but the story makes me cringe.
