I love the story, congratulations!
This is how a new watch purchase should happen, wear it to good health.
I think the 116710LN (green hand) is timeless, I enjoy it more than my BLNR and Pepsi.

The LN is probably the most useful tool watch Rolex offer. Pure function over form. Wear mine most days. Congrats and enjoy.

Congrats, it's a great watch. Seems to score a SS Sport model now a days you either need to have know someone and be extremely patient, or extremely lucky. Extremely lucky has its advantages!

Well done, one of the best Rolex models.

I bought the TT before the SS model was available or I would have one of those.

As my mentor engineer always said "I'd rather be lucky than good!"

I can't keep from looking at my wrist and smiling.

That's the interesting thing - that gent's shop was overflowing with black Subs (both date and non-date), but the Black GMT they'd had some weeks before was nowhere to be seen and then, 30 minutes later, I run into a new one that was still in the plastic coffin.

Had I realized that I would be walking out of there with it, I'd have snapped a picture or three.

Ah well, I'll do that next time when it is time for Rolex #2.
