How much for a new cyclops?

Bought a used rolex, 16613 (based on serial 1996 made) from a reputable but not AD. Brought it to an AD for authentication they gave me an appraisal pressure tested it etc. Said its legit. Anyway, the only thing bothering me about this beautiful watch is the cyclops. Its def not 2.5x mag. It also has a glare which is annoying. Im considering getting it changed just wanted to get an idea what I could expect price wise

Based on what others have paid from an RSC, I would say $300-350 shipped back to you after installation. It’s my understanding that they will replace the crystal not just the cyclops.

Oh bumber that is more than I thought. An AD can't do it it has to go to a service center?

I would doubt if there is anything wrong with your cyclops magnification and Rolex themselves do not advertise now 2.5x magnification. The cyclops is stuck on to the crystal with a special glue thats uses ultraviolet light to set.Plus there is no AV coating under the surface of the cyclops on 1996 models, that only came on much later models. And the only AV coating on all modern day Rolex is just under the cyclops and not the whole crystal.

Ah I see thanks for that info. Guess that explains the glare lol. Yeah the mag is like prob 1.5x def not as pronounced as you see them mostly. I guess no one really knows why rolex took off the 2.5x - prob bc too many people were complaining when they didn't have the 2.5x
