116519LN...”oh-oh”...

Popped into my AD to try on the explorer 1, some of the DJ41 configurations, and to look at the two tone sub again...with the idea of adding something to the collection relatively soon. They had the rose gold Daytona oysterflex on display and I mentioned how I’ve been dying to try on and see the LN ref in person. He says, “Let me check something...” He came out with a plastic coffin in hand and I immediately said “Oh-oh.”

This watch is an absolute stunner. The heft of the white gold is undeniable (in a good way). But is so nicely balanced (I would imagine once properly fitted) with the oysteflex. Won’t go into a full on review of the dial, case, bezel, etc as there many out there that speak in detail about this watch so I will simply echo all the positive things that have been said about this specific ref.

I’ve owned the 116520 black dial years ago but just never bonded with it. But this, even more so than the SS ceramic, just absolutely sings to me...it did the first day I saw pics and now even louder that I have held it and slapped it in the wrist. I think it’s a perfect compliment next to my Sub.

Obviously in another stratosphere as far as price goes and certainly not what I had intended to look at but now....I can’t stop looking at pics!!!

Owners and enablers...chime in!

I'm not a huge fan of Daytonas or Oysterflex but I must say that is a pretty watch

I’d absolutely love one of those. Considering trading up to one.

It’s stunning, and great wrist feel. :)
Was also nice seeing someone on the train have it. Really nice wrist presence.

I bought mine the first time I saw it in person. It wasn't really even on my radar until then. As you've said...it's that good

But one thing leaves me thinking....I see the WG Oyterflex Daytona in everyday life only on women wirsts

It's my pick of the litter for the Daytona OF models. The YG/RG models are eye popping for sure, but this one has the kind of classy, subtle good looks that really get me going.

If you're serious, make sure the dealer has the right OF sizing tools and is committed to getting you the perfect fit.

I’ve said it many times, photos don’t do this watch justice. It is just stunning in person.

I agree with this 100%! I didn’t have this on my radar until I tried it on, the rest is TRF typical behavior, I bought it! My current Rolex line up consists of pairs; (2) subs, (2) GMTs, (2) YMs, (2) Daytona’s and one DD. I guess I’ll need to pick up another DD to complete this madness!

Same thing for me. Wasn’t on my radar. Saw it. Tried it. Talk to a few people and it was mine. It is just a great watch.

Such a beauty! That dial is perfect. One thing I just noticed that sets it apart from most of the other daytona models - under certain lighting those 5 lines of text camouflage nicely into the dial. I'm afraid to try one on because I know it's out of my price range.

Yep...when I tried it on it was on the largest pin setting so we can go back 2 more slots (I think I saw two). But he did say if the fit was nit perfect we would order a strap to ensure perfection.

That is the best looking Daytona dial with the exception of the platona.
If I could I would.

Huh...that’s interesting. I could see the everose or yellow gold more so that the wg. I haven’t seen any in the wild in any variant so I can’t give any data!

Yeah I just sold a piece that wasn’t getting any wrist time and while I can likely make it work, would possibly sell another to make room for this one...it’s that good.

If it’s the watch you want and you will wear it than do it.

Tough to say as it wasn’t sized for my wrist. But seems to be comfy and of good build quality.

I haven't yet been bitten by the Daytona bug, somehow.

But that second pic you posted is making me have feelings.

Basically, you are now honor bound to buy that watch. Because if you don't, I'll know it exists somewhere, and I will try to find it. Then I'll buy it, and I can't afford it right now, and I just paid taxes, and I'll seem irresponsible, and my family will have to pretend that they haven't lost respect for me, but I'll know they have, and I'll hang my head in shame all the time, and people will therefore think I'm not confident, so they'll question my decisions, and I'll certainly lose my job, and then my house, and...

You better buy it. Quick.

(Looks great on you!)

;)

Enabler here- get it! It’s the best pm Daytona variation IMO and the oysterflex feels amazing!

It's a beautiful watch. I have trouble spending that amount on an oysterflex. If you're going down this road look for it on the full WG bracelet. I know it adds $10K or more to the price, but I feel like it's a better deal than $26K for a rubber bracelet. The Rolex Boutique in Houston has one on WG bracelet... and it's excellent!
