Tried on the new Sea-Dweller

I tried the new Sea-Dweller on last night when looking at watches for the wife. Couldn't help myself

I have to say that this is the first new Rolex dive watch that has done anything for me. I love everything about it, especially the shape of the case. Way better than the Sub-C.

Anyways, I have other watches on my list but if I was in the market for a GMT/Sub style watch this would be my first choice.

I agree with you on the case vs the subC. I wore one a few weeks ago and the case rests much better against the wrist.

If you're okay with the way the bracelet end-pieces sit above the lugs, and all the hash marks on the bezel, I say go for it!

The end-links/lugs thing is exactly like it is on the DeepSea and the bezel is one of the best parts of the watch, making it very symmetrical, even more so than the Sub ND. I couldn't resist any longer and picked up mine tonight and couldn't be happier.

While it isn't as light and flat as the Sub, the case shape makes i more comfortable on on the wrist as the case sides don't dig into the wrist/hand. It really is right between the DSSD and Sub in terms of fit and weight, though most people will prefer the Sub and thats the way I like it.

I tried the new seadweller on just today as a really AD was close by a job I was measuring. After owning a Deepsea I can say that the new sd4000 wears pretty small. It's a gorgeous execution in every aspect just wish it was 42mm. I had to sell my DSSD for financial reason for the time being but it would be difficult to choose between the two when it comes time to buy again.

Seems like a nice watch. I'm starting to wonder what's going to be next for me.

I tried one again this past weekend and I agree with you, it's a great piece, the only reason it's not on my wrist is redundancy in my collection and price.

I love that it isn't a super-case or a max-dial, side by side with the sub-c it's a cleaner more elegant watch!! JMHO
