Winding a no-date Sub question
Maybe a stupid question, but I was winding a no-name Sub today and stopped after maybe 60 turns of the crown. No increased tension or anything like that. Is that normal? Hypothetically the tension should increase as the spring is wound up, no? There should be a finite number of turns, I guess, to fully wind uo the spring.

Perfectly normal and 40 turns is enough.

More than enough. It's not like most other automatic movements where you feel resistance when fully wound.

I'm gonna' stir up a hornet's nest when I say this, but technically it's a "Sub". The date Subs are the ones that need to differentiate themselves by stating "Date Sub". Some one says Sub, and I think 5512, 5513, 14060, etc 😂😂😂😂😂
