Always wanted a sports Rolex, either a Sub or YM, and that hasn't changed, but I remember about five years ago my friend's dad at his wedding was wearing a gold president and I thought I would never have one of those or at least not for many many years. Now he's no power player or mafia boss he's ofc an accountant, but now I think I will buy one soon and I can pull one off as I am older, wiser and am more and more in the words of the great Admiral Jackie Fisher, relentless, remorseless, ruthless.

The classic YG DD 36mm still reigns as King... It even has a crown

My tastes have definately changed. This was my first Rolex a few years ago:

I would not buy it again today as it is too flashy for me at this point in my life. Whereas once I wanted to be seen with an iced out Rolex (in my 20s), now in my 30s I prefer something a little more classic...

When my budget allows I will be picking up a Daytona or Skydweller.

I went from not liking gold to loving it and from not liking the bolder watches to loving them!

As a child, my father's friend always wore a yellow gold watch; the Day-Date and a Sub. I was mesmerized by the beautiful color of gold, and the classic look of those watches in the sunlight.
I began with the stainless Sub and worked my way up to my current collection that includes both of those watches. To this day, I have never seen two more beautiful watches.

From disliking YG, to really liking it on the sports models :)
