I inherited this watch and have no idea on value and authenticity. Any help would be so greatly appreciated!!!

Silver Rolex from late 20s, but more likely 1930s. Dial has been refinished (not good). Case is very nice and properly matching top and bottom. Crown is not original. Nice heirloom piece, but not overly collectible.

Thank you such for your help! I’ve looked around and hadn’t found any silver Rolex’s before so did have a clue!
Any idea on value whatsoever?

Actually, the crown does look original to me. It would have been thin and unmarked back then. The dial has been repainted which was common and was probably done 50 years ago. It is a very small watch and not desirable today to a mass market. Its a good looking piece but value IMO would $500-900usd maybe if it runs. Not a whole lot. You may be able to find a collector who is interested but if it is a family piece then I would insure it and enjoy it.

Thank you so much! It runs really well and did have a strap with the Rolex catch etc but the faux leather was falling apart and came off! Not a family piece so I will probably be looking to sell it to upgrade!

Sterling silver case with Glasgow import hallmarks for 1927.

The dial is repainted, and the winding crown is a generic replacement (it wouldn't have Rolex markings, but the size and type is not right for this watch).

It's a sweet little watch!
