Just passed on a root beer

I was just in my local dealer, and they actually had 2 root beer in stock. One gold and one 2 tone. I cannot believe how beautiful that watch is in person. Also cannot believe I left without it.... kind of regretting it now

I never like any of the pictures I see of the chnr. I have one and it’s one of my favorite.

Just passed on a root beer

I tried on the full gold one last week and it was stupendous! I would pick up a CHNR in a second but can’t afford the full gold model!!

The TT CHNR is the only GMT Master to date that I have ever seen in my AD's window. I was struck by how visually clever it was, but I wasn't interested. It wasn't on my radar. Later that day I went back, having gone through a similar process you what you are going through now. Unsurprisingly, it had sold.

I put it out of my mind because I didn't want one before the sighting and it would have been impulsive. But it didn't stay out of my mind. I got stung by two UK price rises before I finally got there.

Not with that attitude. Free up some home equity with a nice second mortgage and boom!

Meh! I'd pass on it too. Don't care much for TT GMT regardless of how many videos come out with its shine and absent sex appeal.

Ok, im at peace with my decision. I never saw one up close, but after seeing it i thought it was absolutely stunning. but as i look at my "Batman" i realize i made the right decision for now.

I was just surprised to have been presented with the chance to buy one, but its just bad timing with going on vacation in a few weeks too.

It's better to regret something you have done, than to regret something you haven't done.

I put a deposit on one during lockdown but changed my mind and got a refund. It's a nice watch but honestly after a week of thought I decided I could easily live without it.
It's actually a very obtainable watch imo. I don't think anyone should be paying resale on this model.

This was my local AD, so i would have been paying retail only. Im patient and have been waiting on a few other watches to come in, so i decided to pass on this one.

I had one, a TT which I bought at an AD easily. Its a beautiful piece, but it just didn’t do it for me. Each to their own.

Just tried a full rose gold yesterday. I loved it, but at $38K I couldn’t afford or justify it. Maybe a TT at a more reasonable price.

I was offered thr CHNR while I was waiting for the BLRO. Went in and fell in love with it. It is subtle compared to YG. The rose gold hands Are stunning!

Is the TT version BLRO easier to get than the batman/pepsi? Just last week I too had wanted to look for this with recently opened local ADs but no one had any

I get it, different strokes and all. For sure I would never bash another person’s watch preference, but I don’t get the excitement of the piece, it’s pink and brown...not my jam even a little.

I have a love hate relationship with the Chnr. Maybe seeing one in person would make a difference...

I too don't get the excitement of a red and blue piece, why would a grown man wear a Pepsi logo on stainless steel on his wrist. As you said, different strokes and all.

You guys are so lucky. They haven't made their way into the Hong Kong ADs since the lockdown and the prices on the grey market are still holding strong. I've seen one full gold but no TT. From my side of the world, it's still a pretty hard to find watch.

The TT CHNR also has an ideal weight. It is heavy yet balanced, IMO moreso than the SS models, and commands a tremendous wrist presence. Other people will notice it, and maybe more importantly you will notice it on your wrist.

Anyway, my 2 cents. Below a quick picture of mine.

It will hopefully go to a good home who will appreciate it. If it isn't for you then you definitely did the right thing.

Ask yourself did you really want it, if not always best to leave it to someone who does want to own and wear it, and not because of internet hype.

Nice watch, but good to follow your instincts IMO. If it’s meant to be you’ll find your way back to it

A good looking watch in both TT and RG. There will be others and if you want one they are not that difficult to source.
