What the heck, I'll keep this going.
I always thought of the two, you had to go Blue, until one day I sat on an airplane, and the guy on my left and the guy on my right both had TT Back dial Subs. By the time I got off that plane I wanted one. Still can't knock the Bluesy though. |

I had the same dilemma, but I ended up getting a bluesy. The blue and gold look so good together!

Love the bluesy. Had one. Sold it to a dear friend (as they are hard to get at the moment).
Bought the black and will not look back. Still agree that the blue is the nicest by far to look at, but I am just more comfortable wearing the black with a little less flash.

... until I didn't care anymore and went back to the bluesy. It's just the best. And yes, I am serial flipping

Worn the blue and the black. Blue covers more ground in my opinion.

Does anyone under 40 buy the blue? A friend keeps telling me two tone is an “old man watch”. I’m almost an old man but don’t want an old man only watch! I love the bluesy!!!!!!!

Make sure you see both in person before pulling the trigger...I went black and gold...though it was a more classic look and it fits my style more.

Definitely the Blue Sunburst Dial. I purchased this Model in 2016 before my infatuation with the Daytona Model. I let the Blue Sub go to part fund my first Daytona. But everyday I ask myself if I made a mistake, the T/T Sub 116613LB is a stunning watch & easy to come by so I think you won’t go wrong by going for the 116613LB

I got the T/T Sub Blue Sunburst Dial 116613LB today as my first Rolex. 10% cheaper from the AD in Riyadh compared to London and it was the last in stock. There were a few T/T sub black dials but the sunburst looks better to me. No GMT Master 2's available from AD shops in the country. Very happy with my purchase!

Blue looks sportier like a young man, but black looks classic like an old man. Finally, I've got a blue one according to my girlfriend opinion :)

Sunburst blue on 116613 but I am biased. Black looks better on solid stainless. I have both.

Bluesy, for sure. Like many here, I am biased since that's the one I chose. Yes, the sunburst is gorgeous, and the blue/gold color scheme plays well together. The black is more sterile and, because it lacks the gold font on the text, I find it more jarring. There's something about the gold text font on the blue that somehow blends/ties things together more, giving a more cohesive look.

I think the TT blue dial submariner is such an iconic watch. The sunburst blue dial is one of the best from Rolex.
