Just bought JLC Master Ultra Thin... security features?

I just bought a beautiful JLC Master Ultra Thin Moon with black dial. It's an elegant, beautifully designed movement with a balletic case. Love it.

But I have a question for the forum. Unlike my Rolex GMT II, modern series, my JLC has almost no security features. It has the serial number etched in the rear case. But it has no logo around the inside of the watch between the dial and the crystal. It has no logo etched into the bottom of the crystal at 6 o'clock. The leather strap isn't serialized, as far as I can tell.

These tiny security touches on the Rolex are cool. What other brands have tiny security features? What are they? Or are these unique to Rolex simply because they are copied and faked so much more than every other brand in the world?

Your last statement is probably correct. Rolex is a lot more popular and well know than JLC. There certainly aren't as many fake JLCs out there as there are fake Rolexes, so the need for these "security" features on JLCs wouldn't be as necessary.

Congrats on your new MUT Moon! I have the same with the silver dial.

Omega watches have a laser etched symbol on the case back to prevent piracy.

I'd imagine a major security feature for a JLC MUT is its understated appearance (and thanks to quartz watches that are thin).

On a more serious note, I've seen some posts online requesting JLC MUT watch replicas though. So who knows? As long as you know the watch you have is not and has awesome time-keeping qualities!

As the most valuable and recognizable brand, Rolex suffers from widespread counterfeiting and is forced to adapt security features to protect and help authenticate their products. JLC on the other hand doesnt need to do so as counterfeiting their watches is not as lucrative as Rolex.

TBH i much prefer not having any security features on a watch, its not a passport!
