Rolex AD in Cancun, MX

Will be traveling there in a couple of weeks. Have anybody been to the ADs there recently and any luck on SD43 or Hulk? What about other SS models? Thanks!

I was just in Cozumel and they had a relatively “decent” show case. My girlfriend picked out a nice PM datejust and I told them I would buy it if they went in the back to get a blue skydweller or white Daytona. Tried to negotiate for 10-15 minutes and they continued to say what we have out is all we have...

I visited ultrajewels back in September. They pulled quite a few things out of the safe in the back once I showed interest in a PM piece. I got a great deal on a 116508. Almost 28% off once I got my tax back. That took 6 month and NOT the 45 days the we tell you. You will need your passport and trip itinerary to be able to complete their form.

I’d be cautious getting a Rolex outside the US. But that’s just me

Hate to say I agree with this, but I was thinking the same thing. Be careful walking around down there with a brand new rolex on your wrist. Might want to consider long sleeves if you know what I mean...

Wow there was a lot of typos in my post. O well. They will give you a website to track the progress of your refund. Every time I emailed them to ask the status. They always said it is the Mexican government and they are very slow. I bought mine with the idea I would never see the refund. If I got it then my deal would be even sweeter.
Also, ask about any freebies to make the deal nicer. They offered water, beer, tequila, or soft drinks while I was looking. They threw in a nice blue Rolex duffel bag as part of my purchase.
We just took a cab straight back to the cruise terminal. Dropped off the stuff in our room and went back out for some celebratory drinks.
Good luck!!

I'd spend the money on hired armed security if I was going down there again.

we used to go every summer but the climate has become a bit heated due to the cartel spats going on.

Also only drink sealed booze.

I’m in Cancun currently. Will be heading to one of the ADs at some point over the next week. Not going to be purchasing anything, unless the have a SS Daytona. Will report back for you.

A couple years ago, I went in Ultrajewels in Cozumel. They wouldn't even give me or my wife the time of day.

i was down in playa de carmen in march and Ultra had 3 armed guards w/ ARs and HK rifles out front. I was looking at some souvenirs to bring back and didnt bother to go in and take a look. Even if it was a good discount, who knows once i leave and around the block i get robbed of the new Rolex. Didn't want to chance putting the party i was with in a situation.

Cozumel Ultrajewels had just one guard with an AR, pistol, and vest. Several cabs out side ready to go back to the port.
I forget the big dealer in Grand Cayman but they had just one guard and a very large GSD. He said he was 120lbs. Mine is just 95 lbs. Grand Cayman dealer was not as flexible on price as Ultrajewels.

I was at Ultra Jewels in Cozumel last month and they offer free delivery to your ship or resort so you don’t have to walk around with it. Selection was about the same as in the US, but the service was good.

Cancun ultra jewels today had a deep sea, both milgauss, explorer, explorer 2, bluesy and a black faced SS Daytona which I was offered if I were to buy a gold watch also as it is reserved for their best customers. I passed. Good luck!
