Difference between rollerball and fineliner

Newbie here. Just wondering what exactly is the difference between rollerball and fineliner pen? I am looking to buy a MB starwalker midnight black metal, and understand the refill is interchangeable, but what is the difference?

Thanks!

That's correct.
Rollerball has a solid ball tip, hence the ball in rollerball.
Fineliner has a cloth/velvet/etc tip, and you'll skip when writing very fast with a fineliner.
