501 end piece on 16750

I know Rolex did some parts (swapping) years ago, and sure some AD's did.

Does anyone know if a 78360 bracelet for a GMT 16750 ever had 501's Vs 580's ends?

The 78360 used 580 end links with the GMT 16750. The 501s should fit.
