I saw not one but two 5712s on the same TV comedy sports panel show. Bradley Wiggins, UKs most decorated Olympian with 8 Cycling medals, and Jimmy Carr, UK's top comedian were both wearing them on League of their Own. These are getting hot, esp as they have both probably never seen or even know of the 5711.

Since this would be a piece for me to add into my daily driver rotation, the “usability” is a bigger factor than me vs. certain pieces (like my YG RO jumbo, PT Reverso #2, et al). Just wondering if you all find this to be an issue at all, or is totally a non-issue..... thoughts?

It’s a light watch so the need for the absolute perfect fit (like you can get with the Glidelock) is not as necessary. It moves around slightly when my wrist contracts in the air conditioning, but again, since the watch is light and the bracelet is extraordinarily comfortable, it doesn’t matter. Regarding the clasp, it’s fine for what it is, and I’ve had no issues with it so far. Don’t sweat it, just get it.

With all the recent incomings, this thread deserves a bump.

When I made this thread I didn’t think that one day the 5712 would be in such demand and almost, not quite but almost, as hard to get as the 5711, a few years later that has changed, and it has taken the place it deserves IMO, it really is a great watch. Congrats all of you who have one, awesome pics everyone

Thank you! I get that way, too. When I’m not wearing mine and see a good picture of it, I feel the need to get it back on the wrist as soon as possible.

I LOVE the clasp! Most comfortable watch I wear. The lack of microadjustments doesn’t bother me in this watch because it is so light and silky to wear that if it is a little loose, it still wears perfectly (can’t say the same for my Submariner, so Glidelock is key on that watch).

Taking on and off the watch is simple too once you own one and do it every day. Just slide your index finger between the bracelet and the clasp and pull up. Easy as pie!

Does anyone know if the 5712/1A (and 5711/1A for that matter) will receive the updated Nautilus clasp on the new PC?

that would justify the price rise right there

My only complaint with the nautilus. Love the watch, love the bracelet, hate the clasp. I wear my watches tight so its really hard to take off.

Agree, although if anyone bought and received one after paying the new/higher price but without the new clasp, then they could justifiably be
