I liken Patek to Ferrari

both for me overrated and lacking in quality/reliability

all my pateks broke, my ff and f12 constant issues, yup LOL match made in heaven!

my lambo and ap's never miss a beat however

and the carrera gt is still my ultimate dream car, GOAT!

Just don't think I can drive it like I did my RUF GT2, all the manhandling and track work, so it never found itself in my garage sadly :( plus the maintenance costs I could never stomach, but its still a dream to me

Perhaps you were lucky with AP and unlucky with Patek. I know Patek owners who have had the most horrendous issues with AP. Granted that PP can have issues too, but for me Patek beats AP in all respects. But if AP floats your boat then good luck to you.

Don't want to ruin this guys thread so apologize beforehand

Perhaps Russ, I've heard horror stores on both ends, but in my immediate world of friends/collectors Patek reliability and issues are much greater.

I still own a 5270 but unfortunately don't have the trust in it and don't want it gone for 8 months. my 5960p was hand delivered to NYC stern agency for my power reserve issue one month after i bought it brand new, came back 5 months later SAME ISSUE. it wasn't fixed
my 5712 calendar issue with it being stuck.
my 5167 was rock solid however lol, the cheapest one

But to me AP leaps and bounds above patek with their brushing/cash finishing , and well reliability. oh well

I just have to interject in this open forum when people tout its best of the best because it surely is not!

Enjoy it and hope your ownership remains a flawless one.
