Some say why? I say why not?

Some say why would you make a Sea Dweller in two tone? I say why not?

Some say why would you wear a diver when dressing up? I say why not?

Since we all have subjective opinions on this board, I PERSONALLY would get the SS version as there are other TT that touch at the heart strings (sigh, CHNR).

However, you are posting some pretty great wrist shots and I can get behind this TT. I would like to see it in person and maybe my heart strings could sway.

I think it looks beautiful.
I wouldn't think twice about getting a two tone SD or Sub.

Looks great with the ring! There are no sacred cows any more and everything has to evolve as Rolex need options for 4/5 new releases every year.

I don’t own a sea dweller, more of a GMT man myself, but no matter what anyone says, that’s a beautiful watch and way more stately than the pure SS version.
Congrats and enjoy in good health.

I can appreciate how you feel. It's funny because I've always been very against two tone prior to getting this watch. It just never sang to me. However I accumulated a large collection of SS professional models and it seemed silly to just add another steel watch. I probably would have NEVER bought this one. But my wife surprised me with it and I can't believe how much I love it. I too would have probably went for the CHNR but I have 4 GMT's so this is probably a better addition.

Thanks! I'm a GMT fan also, I have 4 of them lol. But I'm really digging this. Especially with the matte dial. A little spice to life!

Haha no this has wrist presence and then some. It’s a big bad two tone beast!

Congrats. Great watch!

By the way, the answer to why not wear a diver like this dressing up is obvious looking at your pictures.

I look at it like an XL TT Sub with classic proportions. Which is cool. The problem lies in why an XL classic shaped Sub was even necessary and what's more - necessary to occupy the previously SS Sea Dweller line. The only reasoning I see is that if it was released in the Sub lineup alongside the current maxicased one it would be too much of an acknowledgement that the maxicase is a bit extreme.

Big congrats, OP! Wonder if the weight is substantially different between this one and the all SS.. Starting to REALLY grow on me

Thanks!

Obvious in the fact that it looks so amazing that people could get into traffic accidents staring at their watch instead of focusing on the road?

I don’t have a SS SD compare it to. But it’s quite a bit heavier than my Hulk. Noticeably more.
