Two Batman calls in same month, no previous spend

Short version is I got a call a couple weeks ago for Batman I expressed interest in while travelling to another city 1.5 yrs ago. I never returned or called to follow up my interest. Watch now on wrist. I received an a call from AD closer to home this week for exact same watch. Expressed interest a year ago maybe and drop in from time to time. No purchase history at either AD. I’m a normal guy, nothing special about my life, car or personality. Clearly Rolex is trying to get watches onto the wrists of new clients. Either that, or the bottom has fallen out and some ADs in certain markets are still trying to create illusion of scarcity

There also was a yearly BLNR allotment last month. This month it will be a new model showing up, and so on each month. It’s the way models trickle out of the factory over the a year’s production. FYI: it is customary to post a new watch pic.

Does that mean I missed the boat if I didn't get a call? =(

Congrats

Glad I got mine back in 2016. Still my favorite watch I own & if I had to get rid of all my watches but one, the BLNR would be the one I keep.

Similar story here. I stopped at an AD while on vacation about 4 hours from home. I simply asked for a BLNR on jubilee. They took my info and called me last week after 2 years and 8 months of radio silence. No follow up or anything in between that time and best of all, no purchase history!

Still trying to wrap my head around how this happened. Two Batmans, a couple of weeks apart, not a penny spent at either AD.

pretty amazing if it indeed happened. Would have been unthinable a while ago. There were no calls for people with even spend (production month or not).

I’m interested in Mystro take on this. To me, it signals market crash in real time. Lots of product that people are passing on who have been on waitlist for a long time and no longer want, or they got it somewhere else, etc..

Meh, I don’t subscribe to the market crash theory, especially not on sport Rolex.

I have above average spend history with my main AD (8 watches) and I was only allocated 1 watch in the last year.

makes sense: some people have to track 4 (even 6?) time zones.

BLNR is not so difficult anymore. Definitely not a walk-in, but closer to datejust than Daytona.

Wow, I don’t think so at all. May vary by region, but in Southern California that is not true.

No SS GMT is anywhere close to a DJ in SoCal.
