We just sold it and I finally get to share it ;-)

As far as I know, it is a falsely perpetuated myth.
Someone may have wanted to link the 1655 to a celebrity, perhaps to make it more attractive to potential buyers. Back in the days, the 1655 wasn't a big seller.

We have the real Paul Newman, Pussy Galore, Magnum PI, James Bond - Did I forget anyone?

It isn't, only by people that own them (not everyone of course) but not to the rest of the world.
