Doubt about Breitling 806 Big Eyes

Good morning, I'm considering purchasing this Breitling 806 MK8 "Big Eyes" from a reputable dealer. However, I have a significant doubt. The watch's serial corresponds to the production year of 1966, but MK8 models start from 1968 (or am I mistaken??). Is it possible, or is it a later/replacement dial?

Thanks in advance

I would suggest sending a private message to member "WatchFred". He is the ultimate Breitling historian!

Very nice and old school watch but I don’t know nothing about the Breitling history.
