OP 2020 dial swap
Hey TRF fellas,
I've decided to get either Silver OP31 or OP34 for my fiance. I was wondering if dial swaps are possible for new OP. My fiance also likes "Tiffany" color dial so she might want to swap the dial several years later. Also, Silver dial is the only dial with yellow index bars. So I am a little bit concerned that the silver dial cannot be swapped with other colors due to yellow index bars. Anyone knows answers for these questions? Thank you in advance! |

You would have to do this at a service if going through RSC.
If changing from silver dial to another colour, I suspect they would insist that you change the yellow gold hands to white gold as a condition of the dial swap. |

Better to get both. Such a hassle. And I doubt Rolex will provide these at RSC.

If the change is still allowed for new models (because people were denied dial changes on ceramic Daytonas before for example, despite older Daytona dial swaps being allowed), with silver you will have to change the hand set as well. Because the markers and the hands are yellow gold. If changing any other color to any other color just the dial should do.

In the past Rolex has performed dial swaps for watches like Datejusts and Day-dates as long as the dial was available, as Padi said. However, Rolex has denied dial swaps for professional watches like the Daytona and DSSD. We’ve also seen examples of it being inconsistent from one RSC to another. Bottom line, I wouldn’t count on being able to do it in the future. Rolex can be fickle about these kind of things.

Yep, I wouldnt count on it. I remember buying two dials for $150. ea. No swap and an extra Jubille for a DJ that was kept in stock.

so why not just get her the Tiffany dial in the first place? That way you don't have to screw with a dial swap. The Tiffany dial is very attractive in person

Thank you all for replies. I will get a silver dial first and then tiffany dial later!
