2019 BLNR on secondary is about $16k, isn't that what I should really realistically insure it for to get it replaced?

Also, what if my jeweler gives me an appraisal for the purchase price of a pre-owned watch that isn't a Rolex?...
My Planet Ocean was purchased from AD for $5000, but new it's around $8000.
If lost, I would have to replace it with another pre-owned in similar condition for $5000, right?

Or, would they insure for full MRSP of the model even though it pre-owned?

Yes - you would want to insure it at replacement cost... Not MSRP
