The watch (15450ST 37mm) is utterly flawless, and I mean utterly flawless under macro even. No smudges, no rough edges, machined to absolute perfection. I love the black polish on the hex bolts on the bezel, the way everything from the dial, rehaut, bracelet links and intermediate links play with the light at all times under all lighting conditions, and from every single angle. This is one I will never tire of owning. I had very briefly owned another 15450ST about 2 weeks ago, a few years old example. It had been polished at some point (definitely not by AP!).
Please for the love of god do not polish these things! If you must, only let AP handle it! They had completely ruined the watch by trying to save a few bucks and trying to make it look 'like new'. It boggles my mind that someone would try their hand at polishing a Royal Oak. Comparing it side by side with this factory new 2021 example, the factory polish makes all the difference in the world. Truly exceptional.

I'm hooked for life on AP now, consider me a full-on fanboy. The first of many.
Beautiful gated murci! Don't see too many of those around!

Thanks! The gated murcis really are something special. Not necessarily the greatest driving dynamics in terms of track performance but for the experience and drama on the street it's hard to beat a bright red lambo with a gated manual, NA V12 and the most glorious noise imaginable!

My First AP

I have always been a Rolex guy (purchased my first one in 2005)... finally tried on an AP and I am now a "convert". Got this from a boutique at the tail end of 2021. I love this piece. Looking forward to my next one.

Awesome piece!
Love the Gulf racing color scheme and the jumbo-style hands on these.

We finally had some respite from the rain and snow this weekend - gave me an opportunity to dust off the Viper ACR-E.
Absolutely love this 15450 - it's a whole new experience in every lighting condition. I especially enjoy the coloration of the steel, it's almost like a cool blue/grey in natural lighting and then under artificial lighting the brushing lines seems to diffract the light into red, green, and blue hues along the vertical lines. Amazing.

Thank you.. I fell in love with the Gulf racing colors immediately.

I love that 15450! I would really to land a similar 15500, although I now have to learn the waiting game with AP.

Loved it when McLaren used that livery at the Monaco GP last May...

Can you do a side profile photo of the links?

If I recall, older Bricks had evenly sized links whereas the new ones start to taper a bit more as you get closer to the clasp (less weight and cost, too)

His and Her's Royal Oaks. I had been searching for the 34mm white dial for her, but when the boutique offered me the 33mm quartz, I couldn't say no as it was my first purchase from AP directly and it was a perfect way to begin the relationship.
It was a great experience buying from them and hopefully the first of many more. The 33mm fits her beautifully and she can't get enough of it.
