2022 Allocations
I’ve read in the past that notifications on allocations begin flowing in at the mid-end of January and into February. Does anyone know if this is still the case? Has anyone heard of any updates from their SA’s on wishlist pieces?

I think this is a Patek thing. I’ve never been allocated an AP in January or February for collection later in the year. AP tend to call you to let you know that the watch you ordered is now in the store and you transfer the money.

Sorry to clarify, I meant that I have seen threads that Boutiques find out their allocations in Jan/Feb and waitlist customers then start receiving calls shortly after

The Jan/Feb allocation is a bit of a farce.
The boutiques do know their rough allocations for the year but even that isn’t 100%. The SAs will let you know once they have guaranteed visibility which isn’t at the beginning of the year. You’ll hear stories from various regions about promises being made by SAs but this is absolutely not standard practice |

we’ll continue to hear about no watches available and high inflation lol
I can say the Boston boutique had their targets raised 6 times as the store did EXTREMELY well…pieces were sold out in July/everything was spoken for July through Dec Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

They already know that all customers who applied after January 2, 2021 will not receive anything in 2022 :-(

I received my allocations through out the year, but generally speaking, all hot pieces I got usually around Jan to Feb.

This is a great question. So, when will boutiques know when their individual boutique allocation list arrive? I’ve heard other brands get theirs this month. Also, if all the US AP boutiques, which is the largest with more inventory? ATL?

None of this matters, anyway. Boutiques allocate as they see fit. And some allocations require corporate approval. And, in many cases, they sit on some allocations until the right opportunity arises for them to assign to a customer.

Thanks GreenLantern, you know how corporate approval works? What are they looking for? Obvious I get the no flippers business but what else? |

If you have then things are more easy if not I can tell you that they never give you the watch. This is AP policy now. |

It most certainly is not. Yes, having a prior code purchase does help because it is a purchase history and it indicates to them that you are less likely to be a flipper, but there is absolutely no policy coming from Le Brassus that you have to buy a code to be eligible for allocation of a RO

That’s not true at all. I got two RO from them in the past 12 months and never buy a CODE. They told me I can only get one RO this year though.

Agreed I don’t have a code but honestly I’ll likely buy one as they are making some newer ones I actually like

Especially now since there are consequences for allocating hot pieces to flippers, they need to do their due diligence. Agreed. I'm a fan of the CE/WG version which was released last year. It's only a matter of time. |

I spoke to AP Bal Harbor and she said that all of the 2022 pieces have been spoken for. The watch I am seeking I could possibly get in 2023. Great. I will keep searching.
