Zurich AP by Bucherer Permanently Closed

Just saw that this store closed via Google Maps. Some news talks about a new store coming up close by but not mentioning if the store would be a future Bucherer collab or straight up AP Boutique or House. Any one have info?

To my knowledge AP is trying to do away with the AD contracts globally. So my bets would be on a full fledged AP boutique replacing it.

They did the same thing in Dallas, pulled AD contract and then 3 months Later AP owned and operated boutique opened.

Bucherer is also an odd one, I went to the NYC store which has a Rolex AD on one side and also a pre owned section on the other. So walking in I saw a panda, skydweller etc. I was very confused for a second. But this is a huge conflict of interest for reasons we dont have to go into detail on.

Yes, that would be an interesting situation.

AP is opening their own boutique right around the corner from where the Bucherer owned one was located. They are currently building it out.

Serves the AD’s around the world right imo. They had their chance to stop being greedy and working with the grey market pumping prices up and making customers bundle unsellable useless items up in order to get a watch. I hope Rolex and others will follow suit.

I rather buy a few watches from an AP house and know where I stand with the brand. I rather they controlled the secondary market aswell, rather than being in the hands of such a large chain of liars muhahaha

AP pulled out of the local AD in Amsterdam. Contract ended last month. Rumour has it that an AP house will be opened later this year.

I didn't count in a while, but I guess it must be ~75 boutiques now. Almost 600 watches per boutique per year, ~$20M revenue per boutique, on average.

AP House Zurich (Opening soon).
This is already mentioned on the AP website. There is even an address mentioned.

Nothing for Amsterdam yet.
