Time between first and second allocation

How long did you wait between your first AP allocation and your next one? What year was your first AP purchase?

1st: Grey dial 15500: requested 3/19, received 8/19
2nd: 26237ST (Beast re-edition): requested 10/20, received 11/20

I'm skeptical you'll find a helpful pattern - too dependent on location, exact models and, most of all, time. 2019 might as well be a decade ago.

April 2021 -> (insert here)

lord knows on number 2. This year seems like it will be next level crazy. I don’t have much hope…if AP doesn’t come through, will prioritize Rolex and some independent watch makers

I get a new one ever year. Even before the hype it took time for them to allocate a watch.

I expressed interest in August 2020. Got my first allocation in June 2021 (77350 for the wife). Still waiting on the second...

I got 2 RO last year. Ask for RO chronograph this year, but boutique is closed for renovations now. SA is in Miami, she says be ready!

I am in SC and got an allocation back in Dec 2021 but can't wait for my next allocation. Any ideas when SA will reach out?

What did you ask for next, after the blue dial ROC? There is no prescribed cadence for allocations; without specifics "a few weeks" is as likely to be correct as "never".

I sent a bunch of Royal Oaks for my wishlist including openwork and 15202 but I’ll take anything they offer.

I got a blue dial 15450 for my wife 5 months after a 26331ST for myself a year ago, so for run-of-the-mill ROs like that the wait shouldn't be too long. I assume the boutiques will receive a fair number of 15202 successors this year, so that will be a good test.

For any openworked, welcome to the club - quite a few on TRF have received one, many more are waiting. if you manage to jump that queue, congratulations, you've made it.

About once in a year is about right. 2021 was 2 allocations but I don't expect that again w growing demand insanity.

So you got a Royal Oak allocation a month ago after waiting mere weeks and are already greedy for the next one? You realize countless people on here have been waiting in vain for months/years, right?

Other people's state of affairs in this case shouldn't impact how he's feeling. He got a nice watch and can't wait to get the next one... Nothing wrong with it IMO

I do realize that but that is none of my business. Patience is part of the game and my excitement towards my next piece is not indicative of greed at all. I could buy all the watches I want at the grey market but choose not to do so because I'd appreciate the watch much more when I do pick it up at retail.

What piece did you get 7/2020 if you don’t mind sharing?
