First DJ II, Diamond set or two-tone?

I am about to purchase my first DJ II that I have been waiting to get for some time now.

I am really torn between two watches: The 116334 Rhodium set with diamonds and the 116333 Slate dial with green numerals.

I know they are somewhat different watches that serve somewhat different occasions; I am going to be wearing it on special days at work at some nights out......The times I wanna dress-to-impress!!

I tried both watches at the local AD and they both look good on my not-so-big wrist.

What do you guys think?

That is not my favourite dial of the DJII but both are ok with my choice going to the diamond dial even though i am not into diamonds.

What is your favourite dial, if you don't mind me asking?

Thank you guys....

What makes me bit indecisive is that the TT can be worn daily and looks different (stands out) and the other one has diamonds, which not a lot of men's Rolexes (generally speaking) have.

Opinions/Comments?

It goes fine both ways as long as you wear darker colors =\

Definitely the one with the diamonds. I bought the SS DJ2, and I regret not getting it with diamonds. TT is great also, but you can keep that for another watch in the future.

I was deciding the same thing when I got my 36mm DJ.
I went with diamond set markers instead of TT.

It seems that the two-tone is popular here. Is there a reason why you guys don't like diamond Rolexes?

I'm picking up 2 tone/champagne dial tomorrow. Personally I don't care for diamonds in a men's watch period. Also I feel that for the money the 2 tone has a lot more wrist presence. Just seems more substantial

Green is cool and diamonds vvs I think are the rule. I have been wearing a two tone DJ with Roman numerals in the day time and a WG & SS Turn-o-Graph at night for some time maybe a month or two and when I put the Turn-o-Graph on I noticed that I had lost about 7 hours of time on it and I wear it at night and even to bed and part of the morning before changing watches and this is a new watch that I've only had for about 7 months. Does anyone have any ideas as to what's the answer to my problem here? I would greatly appreciate any helpful input, thanks, T.M.W.

Have you folks looked at the Big Book Rolex has, there do seem to be a huge selection of men's Rolex's with diamonds, even large ones and even ones that have a selection of nice diamonds on the bands. It is really a personal choice, some people like ice cream with the extras and some prefer plain, but as for the bling it just get more in the can you afford it question than, does it or does it not exist. Rolex has exotic models and that even includes ones with meteorite as a dial and there are some real nice looking watches that would make even a Rock Star show some of his earnings. I really would not mind at all adding a few to my growing collection and so far it includes two Rolex's and some others that change at time due to the fact that I give some away at times and even recently traded a new watch still in the box for a franchise Hat that I had wanted to have one to add to my Hat collection and even though the value of the watch out weighted the hat by leaps and bounds, that was the way to say give me the Hat, sometimes people say that certain things are not attainable , but that just might change if you know how to play the game . Get rid of what you don't want to get what you do want.

Have you folks lookers at the Big Book Rolex has? It has a lot of men's diamond watches and some really exotic one's at that. They do exist, the question is can you afford to pay the exotic price for the exotic watch? They even have ones that have diamonds on the band and they also have other stones as well, even models with meteorite faces. Check out the Book.

I prefer the Rhodium dial - that said, the diamond dial does grow on you.

Did you try the blue dial with roman numerals?

I personally prefer a lighter dial with batons, in TT it would have to be Ivory or Silver( can't remember if its available in TT ) as they look a bit more classy IMO.

To be honest I would go with the diamond dial. I think the roman one looks off balance with just one lume stick. The diamond one adds a touch of class IMO.
