Good time to buy in Europe?
Exchange rate for USD to EUR is highly favorable right now for Americans. Even if Americans purchase gray prices in Europe, are there some deals to be had due to FX rates? Deals meaning buying gray in Europe is better than gray in USA

It’s not just europe. Across the world. Japanese exchange rates are excellent. I see a full set hulk in asia for $18,700 USD today. Lol. Dealers here still trying to get low $20’s at least.

Just make sure to factor in sales tax and tariffs when going back to the US. Of course you can bring it back without declaring it but be prepared for issues if you get caught.

Flying in from AMS recently we were told that declarations no longer need to be made. Only need to sign the form and turn it in. Customs (ORD) was basically just hand in the form, a stamp and a wave through.

This is hit and miss. I travel a lot and never lie when asked at passport control. I’ve seen people stopped and have there watches checked. As for me, they’ve never stopped me. Declare the value and explain the purchase of they ask. Depending on your CBP agent, they’ll probably let you just walk right in without a search. Word of advice, food and ag is the major flag, especially meat and produce. Don’t bother bringing something like that in if you have a high value item, you WILL be stopped. Dogs can even smell an apple or Banana from the plane.

Prices in Europe were never interesting compared to the US, even now. Why bother shopping here?
