Should I buy this Sub 14060M two liner B+P?

I'm looking to buy a very good example of a Rolex Submariner 14060M two-liner with box and papers. I found this one and wanted to know what you all think. It comes with Rolex box, booklets, hang tags, wallet and Rolex papers dated 08/2003.

Does anyone see any issues?

It’s been polished, if that is of concern to you. Buy the seller first.

I would prefer unpolished. I don't know exactly what to look for to know if it has been polished. Also, I'm on the fence about the seller and I don't feel great about that.

If you prefer unpolished and are on the fence about the seller... the answer is clear.

Then you should walk away.

I mean, for what it's worth, this is a decent-looking example for a once-polished sub

I don't have a pic of the whole set, but I requested more images.

I've reached out to DavidSW and Andrew Shear about finding a good Sub 14060M two liner w/ B+P. Is there anyone else you all would reach out to about a watch like this one?

OP, you'll find a better 14060M surelly, don't rush into this one.

Peek at my pictures and see how sharper my case is.

Avoid sellers with white box pics, natural environment and daylight light is preferable.

Take your time.

Thanks, that's helpful. I appreciate you sending those pics. Nice watch too!

How can you tell it has been polished? I’ve always wondered about this, except in the case where there is unevenness, or ‘blunting’/flattening out of embossed lettering, just as examples. But if there are other key ways to identify, please explain if you don’t mind. Thank you. 🙏🏼

Actually, Filipão’s pictures demonstrate the difference between polished and unpolished very nicely. There may be some picture overexposure effect, but key differences are notable. Thanks for posting that.

I always check the crown guards first...these look quite pointed.

My 16710 (same case I believe) has been polished 3x since 2003 and they look much more "square" on the right side

Icon20 Update: More photos

I received more photos from the seller. I think these new photos are more clear and show the details of the watch much better than the original photos I posted. Let me know what you all think. Does the case still look over-polished?

What do you think of the detail in the new photos compared to your watch?

I feel like I've seen this posting before. Is this on eBay?

+1 on Jacek of Tropicalwatch (formerly of HQMilton) — he has the best pictures of anyone who specializes in 4/5 digit Rolex.

I’m not a fan of the white box / high contrast photos.
