Agreed on all counts.

The interesting bit is whether the general perception of Patek Philippe as being the top watchmaker will last; in the long term, there has to be enough substance to back up the image.

They abandoned the traditional Geneva Seal certification in 2009, and this may be seen as a symbolic turning point in their steady transition to becoming primarily mass producers instead of artisans. The move to an internal standard could have been done with the best of intentions — of course, one would obviously be somewhat naïve to entirely believe that story — but doing away with independent quality verification will inevitably lead to conflicts of interest and temptations to cut corners.

Some of the pieces in the lineup are still outstanding, but not every watch of theirs is all that special any more. Their prestige may eventually suffer as a result.

You want the K10 with Italian rose gold 'Tiger Stripe' like the ones here. Wife has a set of K10 with a very lovely hand decorated pink Lotus Flower design. Given the choice between a typical basic mass-produced Patek or a set of Noble custom-fit, one-off K10 IEMs, I'd go the Nobles every time. Noble makes important, fine and rare CIEMs that hark back to the days of when people (nobility and such) truly desired audio excellence.

These timeless, hand decorated designs by Noble, are really only for those who care about their music and have the means to acquire rarities for their personal collection.
Interesting info. And is the sound quality also the best of the best?

For the quality and mechanism we can say that ALS can match Patek.

As a RM owner I should admit that RM is just a new boy. Not fair to compare with those grandmasters...

JLC is good brand but it is not playing in the same league of Patek, ALS, VC, AP and even Breguet.

You do realize JLC has made calibers for the Trinity manufacturers for years.
