5167a then 5712R

I would go for 5167A 1st for entry level (for comfort and young)ultimately u will upgrade or get your second Patek then you can consider a more complicated or gold version of Nautilus.
Just my opinion.

Nautilus 5711/1a gets my vote. Go for the iconic Nautilus model, the rest will follow.

Very nice, I really do like the dial on this one and the fact it's on black rubber I think it goes real well together.

I love the Aquanaut, but also really like the Nautilus. I guess for a first PP, the Aquanaut is a good entry? You really can't go wrong with them...I've had this one for a few years (I think I got it from an AD in Bath in 2010?).

I think the RG goes well with some skin tones and the SS goes well with others. Tis totally up to you and what your tastes are I'm sure.

Good luck!!!

Either way you go, you can't go wrong.

It just depends upon what you are looking for.

Good luck with your choice Eric.

Dang...that RG is shiny!!! AND no scratches (sigh)...oh well, the risks of wearing your watches constantly, eh? Hope you get the PP5167R, it is truly eye catching and very sturdy...Moreover, I've found that alot of people in NYC have the 5167A or 1A. We've been able to share and discuss our love for Aquanauts, but I haven't found too many people (read 'none') walking around with the 5157R yet.

Patek did make a White Gold Aquanaut with a purpley strap and I saw one of them being worn courtside at the US Open last year. Haven't seen anymore of those and am now wondering if it actually exists!!!

My best friends Dad has an Aquanaut, a Nautilus and a Calatrava.

The one thing that surprised me is how tough the Aquanaut is. He's gone swimming in the sea with it, rock climbing and even wears it to work in the garden. At first I thought he was crazy but when I looked at the watch it looked great.

I'd like to own both but I'd say considering my sub, those two would fight for the same occasions and the Nautilus would win.

The Aquanaut has to be seen to be appreciated. Don't think I've ever seen a picture that does it justice.
