Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall...

....and JJ's Yammy almost had a great fall!!

After I logged off TRF this morning (which is usually around 7:25 am), I went upstairs to get dressed for work. I thought I'd give Subby a rest and slap on Yammy.

Took him to the washbasin to give him a quick bath....completed the rituals and as I turned around to grab the towel, for some inexplicable reason, Yammy slipped out from my left hand. I reacted like greased lightning , lunging my left hand forward and downwards as I suddenly found myself breathing a HUGE sigh of relief having caught Yammy on the hairiest part of my left thigh.

Yaaaaaaaaaay....saved by all that hair which gave the desired grip to be able to snatch Yammy from a fate worse than death.

Was this my lucky day or what?

PS: Wonder if all of Mansor's watchmakers and all that cleavage would've been able to put Yammy together again?

Did you trip over the sheep or something? Floor a little wet? Good save, and when you say hairy, your arm is like a sweater, your leg must be like a woolen coat!

Careful JJ. You should use less lube when getting ready to "wind" up

Why don't you just put it on before you shower? It's less likely to fall off if you've got the bracelet tight on your wrist.

Or was this not your annual shower day?

So that's how velcro was discovered.

You guys,

I expected at least one sympathetic response telling me how lucky I was, how swiftly I reacted and how fortunate I was to have saved my precious YM from smashing onto the bathroom tiles.

I guess that was too good to be true, tossers!!

okay, here goes.
Nice save, didn't need to hear about the hairy thigh, but, nice save.
Maybe it is a way you are being told " trade in the Yammy, trade in the Yammy"
He feels left out for not getting the wrist time & was making a run for it.

JJ, that was a great recovery!!! I'm sure if it had happened to me I would have jammed my finger or finger and watch in hand into the sink as I was trying to catch the watch before it hitting the floor.

But, here's a thought, wouldn't it be nice to have a floor covering which is not slippery when wet or hard enough to break your watch or glasses as they fell from your hands?

Thanks, Earl....yes, I did recover very, very fast....but I also had quite a bit of luck on my side!! Sheeeesh....I would have been totally devastated if anything had happened to my precious Yammy. You guys know how I am!! Just gotta be more wary and careful the next time!!

Great save, JJ. You have the focus, determination and cat like reflexes of a highly trained ninja master. You see, you're not getting older, you're only getting better and faster.

You got lucky, you hairy, old tosser

In all fairness to your post, CJ.....you are right on the button. I did get very lucky. My hand just lunged forward as a reflex action...the rest was sheer luck that my fingers just happened to grasp the YM before it could hit the tiles....sheer luck, that's it!!

But fortune does favour the brave!!
