Badly relumed?

Do you think this is natural dial or badly relumed 1675? I need educating!

Without better photos I was say it is lumed over, not relumed. Often with a relume (though not always) they at least remove the original lume. These photos indicate lumpy lume applied over lumpy lume.

If this is the case, could it be removed?

Not likely you will be able to have the top lume removed without damaging the original lume below. Not absolute, but certainly high risk. Shame too as the original lume looks like a nice patina.

Though some people like there watch to still light up so it is understandable fro a usability standpoint to do this in contrary to a collector's standpoint of originality.

I would agree, like linesiders said, (heavily) "lumed over."

That said, I don't think it's a total disaster, necessarily. Sure it looks a bit sloppy, but if this watch has an interesting history/provenance I'd proudly wear the watch as-is, you know, warts and all.

Someone has done their best to re-lume it. It is what it is. I wouldn't want to own it, but that's just my taste.

Definitely lumed-over. Great insert though!

That's terrible. This is why you need to have your watches serviced by a professional.

What is the asking price? I would recommend it if the price was reasonable enough

As others have noted the new lume seems to have been simply placed on top of the original tritium lume. Removing the new lume is no doubt a risky process. My suggestion would to be either source an original dial or simply pass on this watch. There are plenty of 1675's with original lume to be had.

The case and insert look great. I would use the dial to price it accordingly and find another dial.
