Hello!

This is my first post on this community.
I'm the new owner of a Daytona 6265 Big Red from the 81. It was my dad's watch.
The watch is in good conditions. It has some scratches on the case but nothing too noticeable.
I just had the watch serviced and now the it runs beautifully..
I'm not planning to wear it as a daily watch. I was wondering how long can it stay in the locker without running?

If you want to send it stateside, I am happy to wear it for you.

If recently serviced with modern lubricants it will be fine by my estimation to wear get it out every couple months, hand winding it and wearing it around the house.

If me.... you couldn't get it off my wrist!

As long as you want! I would take it out once in a while to wind it and use the chrono functions, but it should be fine.

A shame, though, to have such a beautiful watch that you’re not going to wear. Can you post some photos?

Yeah I know it's a shame not wearing it everyday.. but I wouldn't be comfortable going around with that watch, it has a great value for me.
anyway thanks again for your help..
I'm abroad, when I'll get back home I'll post some pictures..
