FYI - Pateted is a known misspelling and variant of the bracelet diver's extension. I have a similar one.
Also, agree with the 14K+. I have a similar one with B/P's from the original owner and have had offers nearer to 17-18K because of the known provenance. |

That's a beautiful watch. That is more than a $14k example. In the current market we are seeing nice MF 5513 at 11-13k, so this would be significantly north of that.

Agree with the others, about $13.5K-$14K, for this very nice example. Not much more, though, and you might end up selling for a little less, depending on how long you are willing to wait. Sellers can ask whatever they want, of course. The question is what are these watches actually selling for.
Also, you can't really compare to other vintage Subs, such as 5513s or even 1665s, in terms of the market. Red 1680s are their own breed. Still, I'm shocked that red 1680s are over-taking white 1665s in terms of market price. The GWs seem to have leveled off over the past year or two. The prices of red 1680s have been going way up, even though (presumably) there are more of them out there. Interesting stuff. Oh, yeah, one more thing ... don't sell your red 1680! |
