Trade 1665 GW for a 16520?
I had a Zenith based Daytona several years ago and miss the watch. Would need to move the SD to get the Daytona. Are they both approximately going for the same money?
My 1665 is all original (insert is service) and in very good condition. The 16520 would need to have box/papers. |

i am in the opposite pickle. I have a 16528 full set unpolished....that i don't wear much or ever. I would love a 1655 which i would wear. However, looking at auctions, i notice that daytonas trade much stronger than GW's. There was a full set 4 digit gold Daytona that sold in the PN auction for 200k. Mine is 10 years newer but i don't see the GW's at 200k yet.
Daytonas to me seem like the no brainer. I have a SS and a PM one and i would need to sell one to afford a GW....i just cant make the math make sense to me at this point. I look at the Daytona like BRK.B......grinds away each year.....keeps winning and when you look away for 10 years you are shocked at the appreciation. GW's are really really nice....i like them but i don't think i would swap a full set 16520/8 for a full set 1655 at this point..... |

It's crazy. Like for like, 16520s seem to have shot far above the 1665 GW!

Unless the GW is a rail dial the Daytona is a smarter choice for the future.

Law of supply and demand. I believe there were more 16520 made than 1665. I would keep the 1665.
