Do these lugs look over polished on 16700?

I was interested in this but the springbar seems to stick out a bit too much...could be a matter of a different springbar but I think the lugs may have lost too much material. The coronet on the clasp definitely has softened but that isn't as big of a deal to me as the lugs. Thoughts?

When the spring bar is sticking out, not a good sign.

With that said, still a nice watch. If you can live with out the thick lugs, maybe use it as a bargaining position.

Which would be correct for this watch! Bottom left lug looks a little thin.

Not great, but I've seen worse. The crown guards are still quite good. The spring bar could be the wrong size, for all we know.

Depends how picky you are about the case, and the price, of course.

Would be nice to see lug-on shots from 12 and 6 as well as a straight shot from the back.

Looks over polished to me ,& it seems to be missing some lume from the hour hand. Unless it's an amazing price , I wouldn't bother .

Confirms my suspicions...it's a decent deal ($7700) but there are better examples I think for a few hundred more.

Could be just the wrong spring-bar fitted and any watch that old if owned by a owner who looked after his watch could have been serviced 3 times, bracelet has wear which would be in line with watches age.Yes its been polished but lugs still look good and still plenty of life left in the watch for 30 years plus of wearing..

If it were me I'd pass just because of the one thin lug. But that's just me.

I would rather pass than pick it up just for the few hundreds or a thousand cheaper for a over polished lugs.

Do you know it costs over thousands to add metal and refinish it?

Don’t worry guys, I passed. I’ll be looking for another one with crisper lugs. Thanks for the feedback.
