Rolex 5512 5513 service dials

Hi all,

I am looking for info for 5512 and 5513 service dials. How can I tell if it is a service dial on a 5512 and a 5513?

Thanks!

How do we define service dials anyway ?

I would think a dial that's produced after the discontinuation of the watch reference ie. "Swiss" dials, would be a true service dial.

But I suppose the current accepted practice would be calling anything that's not "period correct" a service dial eg. a Mark 3 on a Mark 1 period watch.

I think I am talking about dials that are widely acknowledged as service dials. Such as the three types of service dials of the 1680

But if you serviced your 5513 which is from the end of the 60's in the 80's or if you serviced it in 2015, you won't get the same service dial...imho
There is no 5513 service dial which have only a service purpose...imho

The below thread may be of interest, is more about late original 5513 dials than service but it does get into discussion on service dials for 5513.
