If keeping only one.....

So I’m going to keep only one Red Sub....which would you choose?

A. One on left......3.3xxx serial.

Dial- MKIV dial, great matching patina, flawless, a touch lighter than dial B, very vivid red Submariner print, white date wheel, but correct open 6 & 9’s

Hands- very good, very slight cracking in tritium, but not noticeable to naked eye

Case- in very good condition, chamfers been re-cut I believe, but still thick

Insert- excellent fat font mk3, darker color

B. One on right.....3.9xxx serial

Dial- MKVI dial, great matching patina, flawless, a touch darker than dial A, good red Submariner red color, but not quite as bright as dial A, correct silver date wheel,

Hands- very good tritium, redone at LAWW to match patina on plots.

Case- not as sharp as case A, but probably less polished, not recut, still see original chamfers, still thick

Insert- excellent fat font, definitely faded

Both keeping excellent time, with correct case backs, both have 93150 bracelets.

Thanks again for input.

I like the one on the right better but purely on looks alone and original case.

I would also go for the one on the right to keep for yourself, & if you could possibly let me have the one on the left it would be much appreciated

I like the one on the right. The dial pops a little more and the grey insert looks cool too. Both are Awesome!

WOW Richard... Both stunning , how can one choose ?

But ?

I do like the one on the right slightly more.
The Creamy yellowish plots just looks fantastic and
the slightly darker dial color as well...

Thank guys. I thought maybe the brightness of the red print on “Submariner” might make a difference....guess not.

White date wheel is correct for the earlier mk4. Later reds and white 1680 had silver. Thus both appear correct and original in this respect. Personally I like the red over white print of the mk4 dial. Though both look great! Tough call!

If you are not switching parts, the one on the right. The insert and pip make the difference for me.

Right for me. I prefer the warmth of the patina on the plots. Case and insert are also better. I'm not too swayed by the shade of the red either way.

But what if you sell one and Red Subs end up going the way of the Paul Newman?
