Is it possible to buy a new 5146G from AD?

Good afternoon guys!

I’m new to Patek and have fallen in love with a non-hype model!

I’m looking around at 5146 in the yellow gold as my potential first Patek, since it’s been discontinued for over a year is it near impossible to find new from an AD and if so would there be a possibility of a small discount?

I’ve found them new online but I wouldn’t feel comfortable buying a PP outside on an AD.

Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

You may try calling some ADs and ask about availability. I wouldn't be surprised if an AD has one that you are looking for.

Seems possible...

The version you're looking for is the 5146J. This is likely the least in-demand version, since most seem to prefer the white (G) or rose gold (R) varieties.

I wouldn't hesitate to go pre-owned from a trusted dealer if that's the only path available.

Buy from AD and ask around. There are 65 ADs in states and one of them should have what you looking for. Good luck!

I saw one at Hype Park Jewelers in Denver recently. They are a PP and Rolex AD. Good luck.

As soon as it was announced that the 5146 was PP 2021 runout, the last 7 pieces at my AD got bought like in the same month.
for some reason it seems people are taking interest in the 5146 line all of a sudden.
good luck with your search

Not sure about availability, but as a 5146 owner I can testify it is a great watch. 2 years into owning it I still get a rush of excitement every time I look at it. It is the perfect size and proportion. Love the busy but efficiently logical dial. Quintessential Patek. Good luck with your search.

Hope you can enjoy mine. Glad have purchased before the demand apparently jumped. One of my favorites, classic dial and a historic for Patek complication.

keep us posted on your search

Getting Aquanaut or Nautilus or Daytona or Royal Oak is more difficult than getting a baby.

To have a baby you need to convince your spouse that you can afford having a baby, first get a good job with big paycheck ; then get a proper shelter , a car, then you propose with $10,000 diamond. Then you start process making the baby. After honey moon and few months attempts then you will be confirmed by obstetrician you will be having a baby.
Then you prepare baby room prepare the baby clothes and wait for 9 months. The overall chances you will get a baby is like 60% and it takes 2-3 years, and cost $200,000 to get a baby. You need spend relationships with AD over 2 years and spend $200,000 with them to get one.

There is a short cut to own Daytona Aquanaut Nautilus Royal Oak , you can buy from grey market at premium; that is like adopting a child.

I know what you mean @paneristi 111 with the hype watches as you said, but I’m looking for a not so social media hyped watch, the 5146 annual calendar.

I absolutely love my 5146 in white gold, you should be able to procure one without much difficulty, I believe. Great patek classic complication, looks great on the wrist. Go for it.
