What’s so cool about the colorful sunburst dials is how dynamic they are. Depending on the light and setting they morph into dozens of different color variations. I think this is why there’s debate on the dial being different. Even if it were different it’s just going to vary depending on the lighting.

Maxi hands down. Looks so much more well designed.

I absolutely love the new case and bracelet proportions and movement.
However, the white text is a turnoff compared to the gold on the blue, somehow I feel it cheapens it - but some people seem to like it. I could probably live with it, but now I suddenly like the older version, whereas before, I didn't care for the wider lugs, but I like the white text less!! Aren't we all a little crazy with this stuff? |

For me, the new case sealed the deal. Lugs are tapered, at last. The case looks more slender and better proportioned to me, closer to the original five digit Bluesy.
White lettering is sportier and younger. Gold lettering is truer to the 16613LB, feels more vintage perhaps. I don't mind either way, moot point AFAIC. I don't care for the 3235 caliber, I prefer the behaviour of the 3135 in fact. However, the 3235 is presumably more antimagnetic and shock resistant, although I doubt anyone will notice in real life. All in all, 126613/18LB wins over 116613/18LB, for me at least. |

I can’t understand why someone would want white text

I owned 3 116 subs but when I got the new LV, i loved the sleeker lugs, i sold the 116’s. Picked up the new bluesy and love it. Now waiting for the new WG sub to come in.

Both are nice and can't go wrong in either. Personally I can't even tell the difference in 1mm size.

Discontinued Bluesy has the better tried and tested silent movement, and nicer smaller clasp.
