116613 LB vs 126613 LB

I know the new case dimensions. I know the new movement. I know the white versus yellow text on the dial.

Any other differences?!

I picked up a 126613LB today, it's real pretty.

I like the white contrast

New model seems to be better in every aspect at least based on what I have seen; still some people prefer the older model. Each to its own!

Which aspects are you referring to when you say the 2020 model is “better in every aspect”?

Power reserve? That’s about all as far as I can see.

Every other difference is just a difference. No better or no worse.

Is the dial color the same other than the text? And is the yellow on the ceramic bezel the same shade?

I'm under the impression the yellow gold is lighter in colour in the 126613.

I doubt it, I think the white text emphasises the stainless part of the watch rather than the gold

I tend to agree, and considering that I have never been a yellow gold type of person, must be why I prefer that look.

Subtlety

OTOH, I like the white lettering, as it matches the hands and dial markers. To each her own.

So the white text is doing all the heavy lifting of changing color dynamics?

Hands and hour markers are yellow gold in the 126613LB. I also thought they were white gold at first :-).

You could say the old one matches too. Matches the gold.

Either way, I find the new and old subs incredibly similar. I know a lot of people think it’s a big update, but really it’s just some new text, slightly thinner lugs and slightly larger bracelet.

That is an old one with a weird space on the m and a short f in ft

Long live the OG - I for sure wont be switching for the newer model. I think the newer model looks good too I just prefer the gold text and the maxi case much much more. If the new 12 series was the only option I would still buy it though.

They had it perfect already.

That's it, new case, caliber and wider strap.
Text in white, you did not mention that with it you can notice the crown added between Swiss and Made.

Also the other difference is the blue of the sunburst dial that is a new prettier “Royal Blue”.

Who said there is a different shade of blue? I was holding a new one and old one today at my local gray dealer. Looks 100% identical. Please dont spread misinformation.

Is the sunburst dial color definitely different? Or does white text just make it look that way?

Pretty sure this is the case. The white text makes it look lighter. I’m sure we will see a side by side soon. Rolex had purposely enhanced website pics but I did not see a difference in real photos when compared.

+1, and mind say hi Peter.
Will keep this Blusey and enjoy with until the newer model release I think until 13 series.

Well instead of just holding them in your hands, buy them and you can afford to respond to the owners of these watches, who can admire them in all conditions and especially in natural light !!
Of course the dial is completely new, it is not identical, 200% certainty, that's NOT misinformation but a new royal blue !
It goes from a deep navy blue to a rich royal blue all the way up to cobalt and even electric blue when a direct light hits it. Most beautiful blue dial I've ever seen ! In second position let's say the Hulk.
Compared to other blue dial Rolex models like the YM, DJ, OP and SkyD, it's on another level IMHO.

After a month of ownership I've started to appreciate the gold a lot more and like how nicely and playfully it combines with the blue.
On the other hand, it is much more visible than my steel ones, you have to assume in some way.

One difference is the hour hand is thicker at the base on the new 12XXXX series. I think it is the same hour hand from the Sea-Dweller.

WTF are you on about? Look at the above picture right next to each other and everyone else on Instagram, Youtube and other forums are saying it identical. It seriously is IDENTICAL though. I could not tell any difference between the old 116613LB, 126613LB and my 116618LB in terms of the dial blue. The bezel blue is also identical between all 3 - I had all 3 on me over this weekend.

Enjoy your "New" Royal Blue dial.

Look, for me I’m going to welcome the new one, sure some overzealous new owners need to put down the previous one in an attempt to Show they have the latest and greatest , likewise the previous generation owners will find things they don’t like with the new as to make their watch not seem obsolete.

The fact is the new kid on the block is here and we need to make some room lol

I don’t feel my sub is any less special now that the new one is out, still love it!

Plus look at this pic I took, seriously
