GMT II with black and blue bezel

Hi all dunno how I can tell if the GMT II I just bought is real or fake. Does anyone have tips on how I can tell? The bezel and the hour hand movement seems to be on ok because I can move hours and date only in the second position of the watch winder. The concern I have is the date does not change when I wind the watch backwards. It's my very first one

Thanks All

Pictures would be a good start for us to help but the best advice would probably be to take it to a local watchmaker to open it up and check the movement.

Try to post some better pics that are not blurry. And no flash, just in a well lit area. Hard to tell from some of those pics. Did you get a box and accessories? Was this from a private seller?

I don’t think the blue is supposed to be inside the 8 on the 18

Ha! And, looks faded as if it's been sun-bleached for a number of years.

The ROLEX lettering alignment to the minute markers on the rehaut looks very questionable. Where did you buy it.

The L under the crown on the dial doesn't look right. It has a very high pointy L.

Fake movement just as the OP described.

The date should change when rolling backwards.

I looks as though the blue has been photoshopped in, it's that bad. All the white lettering covered by the blue is darker than on the black.

And just look at the state of the blue on the GMT hand!

No rebuttal from OP. Perhaps he was just testing the waters.

First pic, right side of the case, looks like the lug is cracked or is that a sticker?

Wow, pretty calm for just dropping circa $10k on a fake watch!

Call me an old sceptic!

Thought had crossed my mind, if I had been sold a fake watch believing it to be real I'd be livid.
